Kinda Funny

Swine Influenza, big topics today for everyday people. I feel as if This has gotten Way out of proportion and is not as worse than everyone thinks. It's funny how now they're stating to call it h1N1 (the stand that's affecting us today) because pork companies don't want to lose anymore business. Now whether the influenza can affect us or not from pork food it's funny how fast businesses will tell you it's okay to have their product. It reminds me of the pharmaceutical company that bought the vaccine company in Europe. Medicines and vaccines are completely different. Medicines make people feel better and control whatever they have, but you have to keep taking them. On the other hand vaccines pretty much stop you from catching whatever your trying to avoid. Different companies and essence under one branch, seems a little weird. Why would a company buy another company that is almost the opposite of what they're trying to do. Like Mc Donald's buying Y.M.C.A.. Maybe I'm just being skeptical or maybe it's something more. Think about it.

  1. I agree with you 100% on this, I cant believe their changing the name and telling us to keep eating pork just to make money, its like they want to make us sick, and isn’t the government suppose to the things that benefit us? I don’t know, all this is kind of weird, but it is funny how they changed the name just so the pork industries wouldn’t lose any money, its kind of ridiculous though.

But you do have a good pint with companies buying up the companies that practically do the opposite job, its like if everyone is in it for the money and don’t care about other human beings anymore. This world is starting to become selfish and all about yourself. People in this world are now doing things to benefit themselves no matter how it affects the public, and that’s pretty messed up. Hopefully we can changed that and maybe make a law against buying companies that do the opposite thing you do so corruption can hopefully be stopped. We can just hope that people become insouciant again so we can all live in a better world.

  2. I agree with you that this whole swine flu thing is getting out of hand. While ist is something we should definitely be concerned about it has not proven to be overtly deadly in the United States. As a matter of fact only one person has died due to swine flu in the United States and it was a malnurished Mexican infant who had acually contracted the flu in Mexico. Although the swine flu is very contagious it is being classified as a class 5 epidemic out of a possible 6 which is a world wide epidemic like scarlet fever. I believe this is a little overexaggerated and is causeing a nation wide fear of something that has not proven much different than a normal flu.

  3. It has become worse, but the media is using the fear that people have of this outbreak to get people to buy products such as the medicines and such. And at the same time, they are indirectly influencing people to not buy pork. People such as Mexicans have been discriminated against during this time, as if they don't have anything else that could go wrong for them. I think this whole situation is ridiculous.
